The Orchard venue at High Road, Letterkenny
A part of a popular Letterkenny entertainment venue is to be turned into accommodation.
Planning permission has been granted for the works at the Orchard on High Road.
Donegal County Council has given the go-ahead for works at the venue.
The applicant, sought permission for a change of use of the first floor entertainment/function room to guest accommodation ancillary to the existing premises.
All associated internal and external works are provided for in the application.
Permission has also been given for the construction of a rear extension to the second floor of the premises with all other site works provided for.
Planning permission is subject to compliance with four conditions.
No surface water is permitted to discharge to public road and the applicant is to take steps to ensure that no public road water discharges onto the site.
All external finishes of the extension must match the existing building and the applicant is to pay a contribution totalling €2,823.30 to the local authority.
