Gigi and Desmond were surrendered due to a change in the owner's circumstances
Two beautiful purebred cats have been surrendered to rescue charity Animals in Need, and an appeal has been launched to find their perfect home.
A spokesperson for Animals in Need said in a Facebook post: “Gigi and Desmond were recently surrendered to us due to a change in the owner's circumstances.
“Both are purebred, with Gigi being a Persian and Desmond a Peke-facedPersian.
“Persian cats are known for their luxurious coat, distinctive round face, and gentle temperament and make great pets.”
Both cats are vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, and neutered.
The charity is keed to find an experienced owner to give the pair a home that meets their needs.
“Gigi can be a bit shy at first, with Desmond more confident,” said the spokesperson.
Gigi is a one-year old girl, and Desmond is a two-year old boy.
Both are currently with one of the charity’s foster carers.
Anyone who is interested can contact Animals in Need via Facebook Messenger or by calling 087 764 4420
The spokesperson added: “We encourage people to not overlook the adult cats when looking to adopt. Adult cats tend to stay in shelters for longer, and they have so much love to give.”
