Saint Eunan’s Drama Group, cast of "Nothing Gold Can Stay”

Saint Eunan’s Drama Group will present a theatrical performance of  "Nothing Gold Can Stay”.

The play is an adaptation of S.E. Hinton's novel, "The Outsiders" and it will take place in An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny on Wednesday, April 24 at 8pm. 

"Nothing Gold Can Stay" breathes new life into Hinton's timeless tale. This adaptation delves deep into the hearts of Ponyboy, Johnny, and the rest of the Greasers, bringing their trials, triumphs, and unbreakable bonds of friendship vividly to the stage.

"Nothing Gold Can Stay” is directed by the duo Daniel Nelis and Rachael McShane and adapted for the stage by Tommy McIntyre. It features stellar costumes, props, and staging by Fiona McDaid.

Daniel Nelis and Rachael McShane's direction brings this adaptation to life with passion and precision. The duo's collaborative approach fosters performances that are both authentic and compelling, as the talented cast of Saint Eunan's Drama Group breathes life into these beloved characters.

McIntyre's script resonates with contemporary relevance, while remaining faithful to the spirit of Hinton's original work. Audiences will be transported to the turbulent streets of 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma, as they witness the timeless struggle between social classes and the quest for identity unfold before their eyes.

Fiona McDaid's  attention to detail in costumes, props, and staging ensures that every aspect of the production is flawlessly executed. From the authentic period attire to the immersive set design, McDaid's creative vision enhances the audience's experience, immersing them in the world of "Nothing Gold Can Stay."
