One person was hospitalised after a road traffic collision near Manorcunningham on Sunday evening.
The L-1214 Galdonagh road will remain closed overnight following the single-vehicle collision at around 8pm.
One of the persons in the car was removed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.
Three others who were travelling in the vehicle did not suffer serious injuries in the collision.
Diversions are in place and the road remains closed.
A Garda spokesperson said “A section of the road is closed and will remain closed for a period of time. Diversions are in place. Please use an alternative route if possible.”
