The attempted theft took place at St Cronas Church, Dungloe
An attempt was made to force open a security box in St Cronas Church, Dungloe.
The security box is located in the Sacristy. The opening to the security box is located on the interior wall of the Church and this is where the attempt was made. Damage was caused to the box but nothing was stolen.
The incident occurred on the Chapel Road, Dungloe on Tuesday, April 30 between 8am and 8pm.
“If anybody observed any suspicious people or activity in that area last Tuesday or if they have any relevant information, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060,” Garda Claire Rafferty said.
