A new branch of Apache Pizza has officially opened in Dungloe.
The fast-food chain has recently acquired a unit at a central location on 16 Main Street, Dungloe. The opening of Apache in Dungloe takes place today, Friday. This brings the total amount of Donegal stores to thirteen.
There are branches located in Donegal Town, Dunfanaghy, Letterkenny, Buncrana, Ballybofey, Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Carndonagh, Milford, Moville, Glenties and Gweedore. As of 2023, Apache has approximately 180 fast-food restaurants across the country.
The unit was formerly owned by a local couple Denis (Dinny) and Mary Jo Doherty. Established in 1964, Doherty’s was a long-standing family-run business that served as a café, takeaway and more recently an ice cream parlour, located in the heart of Dungloe.
