Sessiaghoneill National School

Sessiaghoneill National School in Ballybofey is counting down to its big 75th anniversary celebrations next month.

The June Bank Holiday weekend will see the past and the present combine for a big bash.

A monster draw, with a top prize of €10,000, will be conducted on Sunday, June 2 at 9pm in the Pyramid Suite of Jackson's Hotel.

Over that weekend, old photos and roll books will be on display in the school.

Life music and dancing will be provided by past pupils on Saturday, June 1.

A celebratory Mass will take place at 11 on the Sunday before the weekend culminates later that evening.

Draw tickets can be bought via an idonate page with tickets costing €20 for one, €50 for four or €100 for 10, and are also available from the school. Click here to enter.

The David Craig Band and DJ Roly will keep the party going into the small hours.

In the current school year, there are 203 pupils enrolled at Sessiaghoneill NS with the likes of pro boxer Jason Quigley and former Irish athletics manager Patsy McGonagle among its former students.
