The premises which is set to reopen this summer has been taken over by brothers Kieran and Paul Kennedy in a joint partnership

Glenties Thatch Restaurant announces new ownership

The Thatch Bar and Restaurant in Glenties is under new ownership and is set to reopen in July. 

Kieran Kennedy, the previous owner between 2012-2017 is now back at the helm alongside Paul Kennedy in a joint partnership. Paul is the current owner of the Harbour Restaurant and Bar Donegal Town.

Brothers Kieran and Paul aim to “put their unique stamp” on the premises before opening in the first week of July. 

“A busy month of exciting renovations is planned before we reopen, a massive uplift in the character of the interior,” the new owners told DonegalLive. “We can't wait to welcome you back through our doors. 

“Stay tuned to our socials for some exciting updates over the coming weeks. Thank you for all the good wishes and support so far.”

The premises was previously owned by Patrick J Boyle who has The Waterfront and Sweeney's Hotel in Dungloe.
