The Relic of St Peregrine
Having blessed thousands upon thousands of people since acquiring the Relic of St Peregrine, Fr Vincent Finnegan is set to carry out his final healing Mass as the relic moves to a permanent home.
To mark the transfer of the relic to its new home at Benburb Priory, County Tyrone, Fr Vincent will celebrate Mass at the priory on Sunday, June 23 at 3pm. And he has vowed to meet as many attendees as possible on the day.
He said: "This will be the very last healing Mass I will be doing with the relic as it moves north of the border.
"I will be there from 1.30 and can see as many as I can individually and will make myself available after the Mass also.
"I am really looking forward to seeing you then."
Fr Vincent has been visited by countless people since bringing the relic to the Franciscan Friary in Rossnowlagh. St Peregrine is the patron saint of cancer patients and those suffering from incurable disease.
When he was transferred to Stranorlar to serve in a parish, he brought the relic and has hosted a number of healing Masses since then.
He announced earlier this year that he had secured a permanent home for the relic where people could visit and spend time in its presence.
For those wishing to attend Sunday's healing Mass or to visit the relic in the future, the address is:
Benburb Priory, 10 Main Street, Benburb, Co TyroneBT71 7JZ.
