Gardai have confirmed that a body was discovered on Bundoran's Tullan Strand this morning
A spokesperson told DonegalLive:
"Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of a body on the Tullan Strand in Bundoran, Co Donegal at approximately 10.45am this morning, Thursday, June 20 2024.

"The body was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post-mortem will be conducted at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of this investigation.
"No further information is available at this time."
In a very brief statement a spokesperson for the RNLI added:
Bundoran RNLI was requested to launch its inshore lifeboat at 10.47am.
Local county councillor Michael McMahon said that both he and the town were in deep sadness following news of the tragedy.
"It is a terrible tragedy just at the start of the season. I am deeply shocked and saddened as is the whole town. I would like to offer my sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased," he said.
