A defibrillator has gone missing from the Mall Quay area of Ballyshannon.

This equipment could be the difference between life and death when a person goes into cardiac arrest.

Cllr Michael McMahon is appealing for its safe and immediate return, and has offered to facilitate it being handed back.

He said: "I am making an urgent appeal to whoever has removed the defibrillator from the Mall Quay, please return it immediately or contact myself and I will put it back.

"This is a very important piece of lifesaving equipment and could be needed to save a loved one today."
