Donegal music sensation Muireann Bradley performed for the President of Ireland on Wednesday.
The rising Ballybofey musician was invited to Áras an Uachtaráin, where she played for President Michael D. Higgins, his wife Sabina and guests at a garden party.
The party was organised in celebration of communities in all their diversities.
“The president gave a long and stirring speech and shows no signs of slowing down despite recent health issues,” Muireann said.
The Ballybofey teenager was accompanied by her parents, Breda and John, her brother Oisín and sister Ríoghainn.
She said it was a “real treat” to have her grandparents, Noreen and Brendan, with her.
She said: “I think Granny enjoyed herself more than anyone there and I think she made a new friend in Sabina.”
Muireann shot to fame after performing on Jools' Annual Hootenanny on BBC Two on New Year's Eve, playing Reverend Gary Davis' Candyman. She played alongside the likes of the Sugababes, Rod Stewart and Ruby Turner.
She subsequently pencilled in 16 live shows – including a sold-out gig at the Balor Arts Centre in her home town, Ballybofey, tonight.
