A vacant farmhouse and outhouses were vandalised and ransacked outside Donegal Town.
The incident occurred in the area of Drumenagh, Donegal Town between Midday on Monday, June 24 and 5pm on Monday, July 1.
Entry was gained to the property after a downstairs window was smashed. The interior was ransacked and a bronze horse and cart ornament was stolen as were a few bottles of alcohol.
Gardaí have yet to determine whether or not anything else was stolen. The outhouses were also entered after the padlocks on the locks were broken and they were also ransacked.
“We appeal to anybody who may have observed any suspicious activity in that area over that week to make contact with gardaí,” Garda Shaun Sweeney said. “Any relevant information should be passed to Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
