The ten-year-old recently took home her second world title at the Gleneagle INEC Arena coming out on top in the under-10 category

Misha Quinn (10) with strong Donegal roots wins Irish Dancing World Championship

Misha Quinn, a young girl with strong Donegal roots has won the under-10 category at the CRN World Open Irish Dancing Championship.

The ten-year-old recently took home her second world title at the Gleneagle INEC Arena, in Killarney and is “overjoyed and delighted with life,” Misha’s mother Cherie told DonegalLive.

Now living in Ashbourne, County Meath both Misha’s parents, Cherie and Michael hail from Falcarragh. Having previously won the dancing competition in the under 9 category, last July, Misha took the globe to show her grandmother Sadie, who resides in Falcarragh. 

Misha dances with Scoil Rince Ní Anglais and is coached by Anne English and Deane Shannon.  


Misha's sister, Shaneice Quinn, placed sixth in the under-18 category

Misha has been dancing since she was five and two out of three of her sisters currently compete also, Shaneice and Kevia who are eighteen and fifteen respectively. At the CRN World Open Irish Dancing Championship Shaniece placed sixth overall in the under 18 category and Keeva secured eighteenth in the under 16 category.
