The top three counties for staycations are Galway, Kerry and Donegal.
With the summer holidays commencing, Galway proved the most popular with Irish survey participants as over one in three (37%) crowned it as their ideal staycation destination
Kerry (29%), Donegal (22%) and Dublin (18%) also made the top five, while the Maldives (35%) appeared to be the top destination for those travelling further afield
