Gardaí and Fire Services were called to a premises on fire in Letterkenny.
The fire services extinguished the blaze but it has not been ruled out that the fire may have been started maliciously.
The premises in question was a garage on the site of a derelict house located in the Lismonaghan area, located near Rowan Park. The garage was completely destroyed in the blaze, the owner is not living locally but has been informed.
The incident occurred in the early hours of last Friday. “We are appealing to anybody who may have travelled in the Lismonaghan area with a dash cam between the hours of 4am and 5:15am on that date to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” Garda Niall Maguire said. “If anybody observed any suspicious activity in that area that morning, we also ask them to get in touch with us.”
