Kitten Hermes is recovering

There is widespread anger after a little kitten was seen being tossed out of a car window last weekend in Donegal.

Animals In Need Donegal shared news of the sickening incident.

Hermes the kitten suffered a broken leg and is said by a spokesperson to be 'in good form' since being rescued.

“She was seen being thrown out of a car window last weekend, resulting in a broken leg,” Animals In Need Donegal said.

“She is a real trouper and, despite finding the bandage cumbersome, she's in good form.”

One person blasted on social media: “Outrageous behaviour. How can anyone be so completely heartless?”

A member of the public said: “Such a horrible and evil thing to do to a poor defenceless being.”

A third person said “some people have no heart” while another added: “Oh my, how could anyone do such a cruel thing to a poor defenseless animal.”

This incident comes just a week after six four-week-old kittens were found in a sealed bag in Letterkeny.

Some six weeks prior to that, 11 newborn collie puppies were located in a dumped turf bag in the Carrigart area with only three surviving.
