The family of the late Jimmy Morrow, Ballintra, have presented cheques for €600 each to Inis Aoibhinn, Cancer Care West Galway and Sligo Oncology Unit.

This money was raised by way of donations in lieu of flowers following Jimmy’s death.

Jimmy stayed at the Cancer Care West run Inis Aoibhinn while receiving radiotherapy in Galway, and was also cared for by the team at Sligo Oncology Unit.

As a token of gratitude the family divided the money between both places, as he had received great care from both during his illness.

The family are most appreciative of the donations received in Jimmy’s memory, and express their gratitude to everyone who contributed.
