Donegal Town Credit Union has announced the launch of its Student Bursary Award Scheme 2024.

The funds look to provide financial assistance to four students as they commence their third-level education. The bursary is available for third level students to help alleviate some of the financial burden associated with attending third level education.

€1,500 will be awarded to assist four qualifying students each, in the local community, who intend to pursue their academic goals in third level education.

The bursary is for full-time courses of at least one year in duration. Proof of course application will be required.

Applications are now open to students commencing third-level education in September 2024.

Those interested in applying can do so via an application form on www.donegaltowncreditunion.com/student-bursary. Applicants must be a member of or open an account with Donegal Town Credit Union before October 7,2024. The closing date for final applications is at 2pm on October 8, 2024.

“Investing in the future of our community and supporting education is an important value we are committed to. By offering these bursaries, we hope to empower students to reach their full potential and contribute positively to our society. All of us at Donegal Town Credit Union want to wish all our members who are commencing third level education the very best of luck” said Joanne Conaghan, CEO, Donegal Town Credit Union.

Founded in 1967, Donegal Town Credit Union's ethos remains unchanged: "not for profit, but for the benefit of our members."

Its commitment to serving the community is underscored by the Student Bursary Award Scheme 2024.

The four winning applicants will be determined by lottery in the presence of an independent adjudicator. The bursary is not performance-based, and applications can be completed and submitted either physically in our Donegal Town branch or through our online application process.
