A Green Ribbon Family Fun Festival took in Glenveagh National Park on Sunday.
This was an information day for individuals and families to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day which takes place on September 10 and Green Ribbon Month.
Activities on the day showcased ideas on how we can include the five ways to wellbeing as part of our daily and weekly routines.
They included some practical demonstrations of ways we can “Be active, take notice, connect with others, learn and to give”.
The programme included Nature Reconnection talks, The Green Ribbon Mindful Walk to Glenveagh Castle, Web of Life activities, Children's Scavenger Hunt, Music at the Castle in the Orangery and The Tree of Intention in memory of lost loved ones.
A number of service providers also had stands available on the day to inform the public about services available locally.
This is part of Glenveagh Park’s community outreach and engagement programme. The HSE Connecting for Life Donegal has worked in partnership with Glenveagh and the Donegal Family Resource centres to organise this interagency wellness event.
