The Lough Swilly lifeboat aided the woman
A woman cut off by the tide off Portsalon was rescued on Wednesday evening.
The Lough Swilly lifeboat was tasked at 7.49pm by the Malin Head Coast Guard to assist.
The volunteer crew launched their Inshore Lifeboat and quickly made their way to the casualty.
A coast guard unit was also on scene and they removed the casualty and reported all was well with her.
The Inshore Lifeboat was stood down and the crew made their way to Ned's Point to refuel and make ready for service.
A spokesperson said: "Remember if you're in difficulty in or on the water or see someone in trouble, please dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
"We would like to remind the public that there are designated parking areas for crew at Ned's and Buncrana Pier. We appreciate both locations can be busy during the good weather but these parking areas need to be kept clear."
