A Carrigart national school is seeking permission to add two new classrooms for children with additional needs.

A planning application on behalf of Scoil Eoin Baiste has been submitted to Donegal County Council.

The proposed development would see the construction of a single-storey extension to the existing school, at Umlagh, Carrigart, to create a two-classroom special educational needs (SEN) unit.

The application also provides for the addition of a soft play space, containing a sensory garden.

Accessible parking spaces will also be added.
