Planning permission was granted for 388 homes in Louth in the first quarter of this year
A new housing development in Ballyshannon has been given the green light.
Conditional permission has been granted for the development, which will include 34 new residential units at Coolcholly, Ballyshannon.
McHugh Bros Builders Ltd are planning to construct 14 semi-detached three-bedroom houses, 12 two-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom terraced houses.
The developer has proposed a new site entrance, accessed from the R231 road.
Open space amenity areas and a children’s playground to be centrally located are also included in the plans.
There is to be a new connection to the existing public foul sewer, public storm sewer and public water mains.
All associated site development works are provided for.
Donegal County Council has granted permission subject to 36 conditions.

Dwellings are to be used as permanent house and not be used for holiday home or short-term rental accommodation.
An archaeologist is to carry out pre-development testing and other measures in conditions include those in the interest of traffic safety, road drainage, flood prevention and orderly development.
