The 2025 Edition of the Creeslough View is now on sale in local outlets in the Creeslough/Dunfanaghy and the surrounding area.

This is the 24th edition of the popular magazine which chronicles the life and history of the area and as usual, it is an excellent publication.

In the editorial for this year's magazine Marie Duffy on behalf of the Creeslough View editorial team extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the magazine over the past two decades, sharing their stories, memories and news that helps to connect our community both far and near.

There’s a special word of thanks to all those who have contributed to this edition, from writers and photographers, to local historians and interviewees. Marie also pays tribute to the work that Gerard Duffy and Declen Breslin have put into the Creeslough View and they have been instrumental in making the magazine what it is today.

She also thanks the local businesses for their continuing support and reminds everyone that the Creeslough View has a website www.creesloughview.com and she invites anyone who has any ideas for future editions, topics that you would like to see covered or suggestions for the website please reach out to Marie Duffy.

This year's edition has the usual mix of stories, interviews, features and photographs and among them are. The life and times of Francie Carr, Tiny Vaughan’s Fundraising journey and the recent appreciation night for his Calander in London is also featured. There is a Poem “Our Friend John” - written by Michael Doyle and recorded by Jerry Early in memory of the late John Nelis.

The Loyalty, Love and Legacy of the late Danny McLaughlin is also featured as is the unveiling of the memorial to Seamus Harkin in Creeslough. New Views of the Muckish Railway Walk is also included as is the Coffee Shop at Ards Friary which was revamped during the year. The retirement of Neil Brogan from Ards Friary also features.

There are photos of the Confirmations and Holy Communions in the local churches as well as the St Michael’s GAA Club, Dunfanaghy Youths and the Junior Section of Dunfanaghy Golf Club.

These are just a few of the interesting articles featured and there are also many family photos from yesteryear as well as the various parades and events throughout the year and there is also some lovely poetry featured. The Creeslough View is always a great read and this year's edition is no different and would make a great Christmas Present for those at home or away.
