Suspicious approach to young girl in Convoy probed by Gardai

Investigations are ongoing into an allegation that a young girl in Convoy was suspiciously approached by a stranger. 

The incident, which was circulated on social media, occurred at Findrum, Convoy, at around 4.30pm on Friday, November 22.

Gardai have confirmed that they are investigating an alleged suspicious approach to a child.

Officers are now appealing for the driver of a left-hand drive white Audi A6 that was in the area around that time to make contact with them. 

“The car had a foreign registration plate,” a Garda spokesperson said.

“We also appeal to any road users who may have been in the area with a dash cam to make the footage available to Gardaí.

“If anybody observed this car in the area on the date in question, we ask them to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111 with any relevant information also.”
