The former Garda station in Glencolmcille
Planning permission has been sought to turn the former Garda station in Glencolmcille into a house.
The station, at Gannew, Glencolmcille, closed in 2013.
The two-storey property was sold in 2023 having been put on the market through Henry Kee & Sons with a price tag of €195,000.
Catherine Cull has submitted a planning application to Donegal County Council in respect of the property.
She is seeking permission for a change of use from the former Garda station and married quarters to a private dwelling house, including minor revisions to the side elevation and all associated site development works.

Donegal County Council say they will make a decision on the application by the end of January 2025.
The old barracks was one of 95 Garda stations across the country closed in 2013. The detached building was described as a four-bedroom property and said to be in good structural repair when it was put up for sale.
