Council gives go-ahead for new Stranorlar apartments

Permission has been granted for the development of 12 new apartments in Stranorlar.

Donegal County Council has given conditional planning to Bradley & Doherty Properties Limited for the works at Millbrae, Stranorlar.

The company is to erect 12 new apartments, a site entrance and car parking. The application also provides for connection to existing services and all associated site works.

The site in question is close to the Finn Valley Leisure Centre and St Mary's National School.

Having considered submissions from a couple of local residents, the local authority has given the go-ahead, with the development subjected to 24 conditions.

They include that the apartments shall be used as permanent homes only and shall not be used for the purposes of ‘holiday homes’.

Such holiday home use to be commenced only if authorised by a separate grant of permission.

Prior to the first occupation of any apartment all infrastructure, including but not confined to, service connections to existing utility networks, boundary treatment, play area/public open space/ landscaping, refuse area and public lighting is to be completed in full.
