Ballybofey singer-songwriter Shauna Scanlon

Ballybofey singer-songwriter Shauna Scanlon will mark a year to remember when she kick-starts the Christmas festivities in her hometown on Thursday night.

After a year that saw her release her first three singles and included appearances on national tv and radio, it has been a landmark period.

Shauna will headline at Gallen’s Bar on Navenny Street and will be joined by some other local acts.

In February, she launched her debut single, Homebird and followed up with Brand New. Later in the year, If I Knew, her third single, was launched.

In October, Shauna played Brand New on The Six O’Clock Show on Virgin Media One.

Thursday’s gig gets underway at 8pm and entry is free.

She will be supported by local band DeepPsyche and singer-songwriter Jason Deery while Paddy McMenamin will be MC for the night.
