The green light has been given for a new day care service in Letterkenny for people with disabilities.

Donegal County Council has granted planning permission for a change of use from an existing part of a retail unit.

The application was in respect of a unit at Rossview Business Park on the Port Road.

Hugh McGonagle had sought permission for a change of use from a retail unit to a day care service for people with disabilities.

Plans show provisions for sensory room, activity room and relax room.

The works also include an office and ancillary uses with site development works.

Among the four conditions attached by the local authority is that the use of the premises shall be restricted for use as a day care centre for people with disabilities and for no other use without a separate grant of permission.
