Tir Chonaill Gaels have paid a heartwarming tribute to the late Michael McGlynn of Bruckless.

Mr McGlynn passed away on Friday, peacefully at the Harbour Lights Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.

Late of Bruckless and formerly of Dunkineely, he filled many roles at Tir Chonaill Gaels during his time in London. He returned home to Donegal several years ago.

“It is with a heavy heart that the club would like to acknowledge the recent passing of Michael McGlynn,” the club said.

“Michael was an absolute gentleman, a friend to anyone who met him and a true credit to our club. He will be greatly missed by all his friends at TCG.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Predeceased by his beloved son, Peter and his parents Danny and Elizabeth, Michael will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret, his brothers and sisters, Mary (Clifford RIP), Angela, Antoinette (Aidan), Gertie (Michael), John (Jean) and Raymond (Moya), his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
