Poor Farmers Association charity action in Ardara almost set to go once more

Anything goes on the night and if it's not nailed down it's sold!

The annual Poor Farmers Association is almost set to run its famous charity auction in Ardara.

For the past 19 years, the local community in the south west town has come together to make a real difference in a manner that really needs to be seen to be believed.

The Poor Farmers Association (PFA) has so far raised over half a million euro since its inception 18 years ago.

Teague’s bar will be transformed on Friday, December 27 and this ever popular event is certainly a sight to behold.

In the past, lots auctioned have included sheep, heifers, bags of turf, chickens, gates, bags of nuts and bales of silage to name but a few.

This year's PFA will also be live on MartEye. Bidding online can also be done via the MartEye app.

This year's auction will be raising money for the following charities: Resource centre Ardara, funding for a sensory room; Cancer Care West and Palliative Care Nurses.

Anyone wishing to donate anything for auction please contact the page or Kathy on 087 6133085.
