Termon's volunteers were thanked for their help throughout 2024
The Termon Clean-up Group have thanked all the volunteers who made the 2024 clean-up such a success.
“From the Ukranian community that are resident in our area to the locals, young and old who participated, it was heartening to see that almost 20 miles of local roadway was cleansed of litter on our Easter clean-up weekend,” they said.
“Roads that crisscross through Termon lead to some of the most scenic locations in Donegal should it be Doon Well, Glenveagh National Park, Barnes Gap or the picturesque Lough Salt Drive, have all been heavily populated with tourists.

“This brings its own problems with discarded litter being an eyesore. But with assistance from Cllr Michael Mc Bride and environmental staff at Donegal County Council, who provided necessary items - a massive skip from Letterkenny Skip Hire was filled.
“Thanks also to Termon GAA for the use of its grounds, Gracies Stores, and Sweeney's shop for all assistance. Going forward the 2025 cleanup has been arranged for Easter weekend 2025. Collection of filled sacks will commence Easter Monday, April 21, at 6 pm. Thank you to the volunteers and Happy New Year to all.”
