TG4 is based at Connemara, Co Galway
TG4 have explained the blackout that meant sporting fans missed an evening of action, including the latter stages of Naomh Padraig's All-Ireland Club JFC final.
The Donegal and Ulster JFC winners lost out 0-9 to 0-8 against Galway's An Cheathrú Rua at Croke Park, although many television viewers didn't see the dramatic conclusion as their pictures had frozen in the 53rd minute with the score level at 0-7 to 0-7.

The freeze continued into the United Rugby Championship match between Leinster and DHL Stormers at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and then for Dublin's Allianz League Division 1 opener against Mayo, also from Croke Park.
Most Donegal users were watching either via Sky Ireland or through the TG4 Player and app, all of which went down.
"The problem is more widespread than TG4 itself as the internet has gone down here," a TG4 spokesperson explained from their base in Connemara, Co Galway on X - formerly known as Twitter - and Facebook. "Our technicians are doing their best to create a solution at the moment but unfortunately I cannot predict when the stream will return. Unfortunately, after effects of Storm Éowyn have interrupted various TG4 streams i.e. Sky TV and the Player. Tá TG4 ar fáil ar / TG4 is working correctly on SaorView, Eir and Virgin."
