Bonnyglen Bar, Kitchen and Guesthouse in Frosses
Rising costs have forced the closure of the Bonnyglen Bar, Kitchen and Guesthouse in Frosses.
The owners have confirmed that the premises closed its doors for the final time last Sunday.
“Due to the continuous increase in costs that the hospitality industry is facing, it has become unsustainable to continue,” a statement on behalf of owner Frances Norrby and her team said.
“I have had an amazing five years, taking with me some very fond memories. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their loyal support and custom over the last five years.”
Just last October, Ms Norrby was among a large group of business owners from the hospitality industry to take part in a Day of Action in Dublin, prompted by what they said was the unsustainable cost of doing business following Budget 2025.
Ms Norrby noted at the time how “the rising costs are making this impossible”.

She added: “Our hard work is not showing in what we are bringing. We do not have enough to cover all our bill and we are picking every week what are we going to pay.”
