Dancer Lily May Tolley won four trophies in Mullingar.
A talented young Buncrana dancer has excelled at the Midlands Festival of Dance in Mullingar.
Teenager Lily May Tolley picked up three overall awards, scoring the highest rankings in the Modern Dance, Senior Acro Dance, and Song and Dance categories.
The 14-year-old was also awarded the trophy for Most Promising Dancer at the prestigious competition, which attracted some of the best dancers from all over the country.
Lily May is a second-year pupil at Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana, and she attends the Rainbow School of Dance in Eglinton, where she has been under the tutelage of dance teacher and choreographer Leigh Chapman for the past several years.
In addition to her incredible haul of four trophies, Lily May secured runner-up spots in Ballet, Lyrical Solo, Acro Duet, and Lyrical Duet. She also excelled in group performances, placing first in the Barbie Troupe and third in the Modern Troupe.
As well as her outstanding accomplishments in competitive dance, Lily May is also an active member of the Inish Theatre Group, showcasing her talent across multiple performing arts disciplines.

The Rainbow School of Dance and the entire Buncrana community are incredibly proud of Lily May’s dedication, skill, and success. The sky’s the limit for her.

“We are extremely proud of Lily May. She works so hard and is so committed to her dancing; she has made sacrifices to ensure she can give it her all,” added mum Maureen.
