Falcarragh Summer Cup announce trophy in memory of the late Enya McMurrough

The Falcarragh Summer Cup Weekend 2025 will include an astroturf soccer tournament in memory of the late Enya McMurrough.

Enya, 13, from Gortahork and a student at PCC Falcarragh, sadly passed away in February at Crumlin Children’s Hospital .

The competition, run in memory of club members Joe Kelly and John Harley, was won by Creeslough Celtic last year, with charity money of €6,000 each going to Gortahork and Falcarragh National Schools.

As part of this year's Falcarragh Summer Cup Weekend 2025, Falcarragh Celtic Supporters Club will be hosting a family fun afternoon at Ionad Naomh Fionan Falcarragh on Friday, July 18.

The craic kicks off at 3.30pm with our bouncy castle /face painting extravaganza and at 4.30pm there will be an astro turf soccer tournament in memory of our cherished Angel and club member, Enya. The tournament is comprised of teams of Enya's friends and mates taking part in the inaugural Corn Cuimhneacháin Enya Ní Mhurchadha.

All proceeds from the Friday evening will be allocated evenly between this year's main charity the Falcarragh Nursing Home and Enya's beloved Cloughaneely Junior Band.

The main beneficiary of the 2025 Falcarragh CSC Summer Cup will be the Falcarragh Community Hospital. All monies raised will go to the hospital to help them with their continuous efforts of making life more comfortable for all their residents.

Falcarragh CSC extends an open invitation to all to come and enjoy this special evening with Enya’s family and friends.
