A rosary took place at the Kerrytown Shrine to pray for Martin’s recovery and to support his close family
A fundraiser has been established to support the family of a west Donegal man currently receiving intensive care in Germany.
Dungloe-native Martin Boyle went for a meal with work colleagues in Frankfurt when he was hospitalised following a tragic choking incident. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the University Klinikum Hospital, in a serious condition.
“What started as a normal Saturday quickly turned into every family’s worst nightmare,” colleague Tim Wills shared. Due to the quick action of his colleagues, an off-duty paramedic and the hospital's medical team, “Martin is now under the best possible care, but his condition remains serious, and the road ahead presents some obstacles.
A GoFundMe: Support for Martin and His Family After a Tragic Accident - has been established to support the family and help cover medical expenses, travel costs and “any additional support they need while staying close to Martin in the hospital. No amount is too small, and every gesture of kindness means the world.
