A teenager has tragically died following an incident in south Donegal
Gardaí were called to an incident at a rural location at Inver, yesterday evening, Monday August 18, where a male youth sustained serious injuries.
He was airlifted to Sligo University Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased this morning.
"The scene is currently held for technical examination," a Garda spokesperson said. "Enquiries are ongoing and no further information is available at this time."
The teenager was a third-year student at Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town. The school shared a statement to social media: "Our entire school community is saddened to learn of the passing of one of our highly valued Third Year students. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time. Our school will be open today from 3-6pm and tomorrow from 10am-2pm for any students and staff who wish to visit. May he rest in peace."
