The Regional Cultural Centre (RCC) in Letterkenny has announced two key appointments, strengthening its team as it continues to champion arts and culture in Donegal.
Laura Mannion has been appointed as the RCC’s new Marketing and Communications Officer while Paul Rooney has joined the RCC as Technical and Facilities Officer.
With more than 20 years’ experience in communications and PR, Laura has led creative campaigns for organisations ranging from global brands to community projects across Donegal. Most recently, she managed communications for Donegal Local Development CLG.
The RCC said: “A lifelong advocate for the arts, Laura’s excited to use her skills to celebrate the RCC’s work, connect with new audiences, and shine a light on the incredible talent in our region. We’re thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to share what’s coming next.”
Meanwhile, Paul has joined the RCC as Technical and Facilities Officer, a new permanent role at the centre.
The RCC said: “Paul brings over two decades of experience in technical management and production for festivals and cultural events, as well as extensive work in lighting design for TV, film and theatre.

“Over the past decade, he has also collaborated with several artists on the fabrication of contemporary art installations, bringing precision to every project he’s involved in. A qualified electrician with a wealth of hands-on expertise, Paul ensures that everything at the RCC runs smoothly - on stage, in the galleries, and behind the scenes.”
The RCC say that the appointments “mark an exciting chapter for the RCC as it continues to grow its team and expand its reach within Donegal’s thriving creative community”.
