Each Community Hero will receive €20,000 for their chosen charity
With less than a week remaining, AXA is reminding the people in Donegal to submit nominations for the AXA Community Hero Awards before the deadline at 4pm on Monday, January 5.
This initiative celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact in their communities, while supporting vital causes across Ireland.

Members of the public are invited to nominate someone who has shown exceptional leadership, innovation, or creativity in helping others. Nominations should be submitted online at www.axa.ie in 150 words or less, explaining how the nominee has positively impacted their community in one of the four categories.
The four award categories are: Road Safety; Mental Health; Women’s Safety and Wellbeing, and Sustainability. Each Community Hero will receive €20,000 for their chosen charity.
Elizabeth Arnett, Chief Communications, Brand & Sustainability Officer at AXA Ireland says: “We’ve received fantastic nominations from across the country; however we know there are unsung heroes working tirelessly in Road Safety, Mental Health, Women’s Safety & Wellbeing, and Sustainability that we have not heard from yet. With just days left, we’re encouraging everyone to nominate these remarkable individuals. We’re also encouraging people to let their chosen nominees know when their name has been put forward and show them their hard work is appreciated.”
Mick Comerford, Direct Retail Director at AXA Ireland, says now is a great time to consider a nomination: “This time of year is a brilliant opportunity to recognise our AXA Community Heroes for two reasons. Firstly, we see so many people making an extra special effort to help at Christmas time—a nomination is your chance to show you appreciate them. Secondly, this season offers a moment to reflect on anyone who has helped us. The nomination process is available on axa.ie however, don’t forget that our staff at AXA branches are happy to answer any questions people might have about the process.”
