Letterkenny University Hospital second most overcrowded in Ireland today, INMO says

There are 46 people awaiting admission at LUH today

Letterkenny University Hospital and Sligo University Hospital are among the most overcrowded hospitals in the country this morning.

In figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), Letterkenny University Hospital is the second most overcrowded hospital.

Figures show a total of 46 people awaiting admission to LUH with 17 of those on trolleys in the emergency department.

The other 29 are on elsewhere in the hospital waiting for a bed.

At Sligo University Hospital, there are 44 patients on trolleys awaiting admission, including 23 in the ED.
