Water supply restored to customers in east Donegal  following trunk main burst

Water supply has returned to customers in parts of east Donegal affected by "a significant burst" on a trunk main in the Lough Mourne public water supply zone.

The burst occurred on Wednesday and impacted customers in Stranorlar, Ballybofey, Liscooley, Raphoe, Convoy, Rooskey, Carnowen, Beltany, Drumkeen, Stralongford, Admiran, Dunwiley, Cloghroe, and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann said on Thursday afternoon that the repairs were carried out in challenging conditions due to the nature and location of the burst, and the utility thanked customers for their patience and cooperation while crews worked to safely repair the leak and restore normal supply as quickly as possible.
