Fundraiser in memory of Donegal man raises €10,000 for the Donegal Hospice

An all-day fundraiser of family events in Inishowen has raised €10,000 for the Donegal Hospice.

The Marius Lynch Family and Friends Fundraiser group organised the Night of Remembrance of All Souls in the Hills at the Ballyliffin Hotel in February.

The event, which the organisers said was about “community, remembrance, music, laughter, and coming together to support four incredible causes”, raised funds in aid of the Donegal Hospice, Donegal Pastoral Counselling Services, ID Services Donegal and Mental Health Donegal.

Marius Lynch, formerly of Clonmany, Gweedore and Glasgow, was a well-known, larger-than-life character who passed away in 2024 in the care of Donegal Hospice.
