Water causing dangerous drivintg conditions outside Letterkenny tonight
Motorists in the Letterkenny area have been warned to take extra care tonight as conditions appear to be getting stormy.
One local has taken to Facebook to warn others of what he has seen tonight.
"Anyone driving from Breenagh towards Glenswilly school and if driving from Glenswilly towards Letterkenny, there are two sections of the main road which is really dangerous at the moment due to flooding.
"As your approaching the top of the hill before Glenswilly school from the Breenagh side the flood water is flowing across the top of the hill and across the main road like a river, at the bottom of the hill on approach to Glenswilly school is the same There's even loose stones in the road too.
"Then outside Larkins pub New Mills on the opposite side of the road when driving towards Ballymacool the water on this section of the main road is also very dangerous, I never noticed any flood warning signs up to alert approaching drivers and you can't see the water because its so dark," he said.
So then, caution is the word on that side of town at all times. Others may be affected too so take extra care tonight.
