Bundoran based Councillor Michael McMahon has welcomed the opening date for submissions for the Local Area Development Plan which has now been brought forward to April 7.
He said that submissions can be made for the opening up of land for development and the building of houses and for other development that are good for the town.
Cllr McMahon told DonegalLive.ie:
“Where I would have liked it to have been a shorter time scale, I am urging people to start making their submissions to Donegal County Council Planning Section which will open on April 7 and will continue on until 2023.
“As Bundoran is a developing town and the population increasing, with a lot of visitors coming in from different parts of the world it is important that our town is properly developed for future generations.”
He added: “ When it opens it is important for everyone to have the opportunity to give their view on the way they would like their town to progress.
“There are projects to get started and with the Pandemic at a near end people are starting to get back to normality hopefully the works will start immediately.”
