An appeal for information has been launched after a bus was struck by a car that then left the scene of the collision in east Donegal. 

A Donegal transport company is offering a cash reward for information after the collision at Kilross, Convoy on Sunday morning in which no injuries were reported.

Cloghan-based Kia Kabs launched the appeal for dashcam footage or witnesses after a black BMW was in collision with the bus.

The company is asking witnesses to get in touch with it or Ballybofey garda station.

Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating the road traffic collision that occurred at around 7am.

A garda spokeswoman said two vehicles collided on a stretch of road causing minor damage and no injuries were reported. One of the vehicles failed to remain at the scene.
