Hundreds of homes and businesses affected by power cut in Donegal Town

Hundreds of businesses and homes in Donegal Town are without electricity as the town is hit by a power outage.

ESB Network crews are working to restore the power supply which was interrupted shortly before 10am on Monday morning.

A spokesperson said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible." 

According to ESB Network, 780 premises are affected. The estimated time for restoration of the electricity supply is 2pm.
