A fundraiser is underway for a Christmas Tree at Greencastle
The community of Greencastle at home and abroad has really got behind a fundraiser that will make a big difference to the village this Christmas.
A GoFundMe page has been set up with a target of €1,500 for a Christmas tree in Greencastle. To date, just over €1,400 has been raised.
The fundraising team of Mary McClenaghan and Seamus Bovaird said: "Hi everyone, that time of year again to brighten our wee village.
"We know it's a tough winter for everyone, so any donation is greatly appreciated."

The tree light-up is scheduled for December 11.
