Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue TD
Charlie McConalogue will remain in his position as Minister for Agriculture and the Marine, it has been confirmed.
Micheál Martin is to be appointed Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs under a reshuffle of the Cabinet. Today’s mid-term switch of Taoisigh prompted the Cabinet reshuffle.
Mr McConlogue took to social media to say he was honoured: "I am honoured to be Minister for our largest and most important indigenous sector. A suckler and sheep farm on the Inishowen Penninsula helped rear our family. I will continue to work with farm families to support them."
