The death has occurred of Evelyn Martin (née Horan), Cormullin, Laghey.

Reposing at the family home from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday evening. House private for friends and neighbours please. Remains arriving at St Bridget's Church, Ballintra on Thursday evening for 7.30pm to repose overnight. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11am with cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.

Beloved wife of James, Mother of Tracy, John and Gerard. Evelyn is very fondly remembered by her Grandchildren, daughters in law, sons in law and extended family. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Mary, Melda and Phil, her brothers Sean, Gerry, and Pat, her neighbours and close family friend Teresa. She is pre-deceased by her parents Gerry and Maureen, her brother Tony and niece Siobhan.

Private Seán Cormac Rooney, Dundalk and Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred of Private Seán Cormac Rooney, 27th Infantry Battalion, Aiken Barracks, Dundalk, Louth / Newtowncunningham. Tragically, on active service, Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Predeceased by his father Cormac. Seán will be sadly missed and forever loved by his heartbroken mother Natasha and dad Paul, his adored grandparents Eugene and Rachel Rooney, nanny Ann McCloskey, his loving fiancée Holly, sisters Robyn and Carragh, brothers Callum and Benn, aunts Tara, Olga and Lauren, uncles John, Eugene and John, the entire McCloskey family, extended family relatives, wonderful friends and colleagues in the Irish Defence Forces and UNIFIL comrades.

Reposing at the residence of his grandparents Eugene & Rachel Rooney, Aghameen Park, Muirhevnamor, Dundalk, from Wednesday 12 noon to 8pm. House Private at all other times. 

Removal on Thursday morning at 8.40am proceeding to The Church of The Holy Family, Dundalk arriving for Requiem Mass at 9am, followed by burial in Newtowncunningham Cemetery,(eircode F93YXR5) arriving at 3.45pm (approximately).

Elizabeth (Betty) Rutherford, Manorcunningham

The death has taken place at her home of Elizabeth Matilda Rutherford, known as Betty, Main Street, Manorcunningham.

Beloved mother of Billy, Kenneth and wife Joy, Mervyn and wife Daphne. Betty will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and wider family circle. 

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday at 1.45pm for 2pm funeral service in Raymoghy Parish Church, Manorcunningham followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard.

House private please, family and friends welcome. Family time from 10pm to 12 noon and on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Raymoghy Parish Church funds, care of any family member or Terence McClintock funeral Director, Convoy.  

Dominic O'Donnell, Glenmaquin

The peaceful death has taken place of Dominic O' Donnell, Glenmaquin, Letterkenny, at his home after a long illness bravely borne surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Predeceased by his daughter, Lisa, father John, mother Mary and brother Hughie.

Deeply missed by his wife Margaret, sons and daughter, son-in-law, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.

Reposing at his late residence from 2-9pm on Wednesday. Rosary at 9pm and family time after the rosary please.

Ann McClafferty, Falcarragh

The death has occurred in Sligo University Hospital of Ann McClafferty, Lower Dunmore, Falcarragh F92 ACY2.

Beloved wife of the late John McClafferty and loving mother of Madge, Annmarie, Caroline, John Paul and James. Sadly missed by her family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, much loved nine grandchildren, sister Rosie and brothers Edward and Daniel, in-laws and a large circle of extended family, friends and neighbours. 

Ann's remains are reposing at her late home in Lower Dunmore, Falcarragh.

Rosary at 9pm. Family time from 11pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from her home on Thursday going to St Finian's Church, Falcarragh for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. 

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Northwest Hospice, Sligo University Hospital.

Seamus McHugh, Gortahork

The peaceful death has taken place in Aras Gaoth Dobhair of Seamus McHugh, Fanaboy, Gortahork (retired principal of St Fionan's N.S., Falcarragh).

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Nellie, his brother Michael. Survived by his wife Ann, his son Michael, his daughter Eibhlin, his daughter-in-law Elaine, his son-in-law Adrian, grandchildren Hannah, Isibéal and Ellen. 

Wake at his home at Fanaboy. Removal from there on Wednesday at 6.30pm going to Christ the King Church, Gortahork for 6.45pm to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Kathleen Fox, Ard O'Donnell, Letterkenny

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Kathleen Fox, 9 Lower Ard O'Donnell, Letterkenny, F92 FT5E.

Deeply missed by her sister Mary and husband Joseph Jurofcik (New York), nephew Joel and wife Stella (New York) and niece Michelle and husband Michael Wheeler (Boston), extended family, friends and neighbours. 

Kathleen’s remains will be reposing at her late residence on Wednesday from 3pm until 10pm and on Thursday from 12 noon until 10pm with rosary both evenings at 9pm. House private on the morning of the funeral please. 

Funeral from there on Friday at 10.40am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards to New Leck Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to St. Vincent De Paul, St. Camilla’s Conference, Letterkenny, c/o any family member.  

Mary Ann McKenna, Glasgow and formerly Cloghan

The sudden death has taken place at her home in Glasgow on Tuesday, December 13, of Mary Ann McKenna, née Magee, formerly of Ballykerrigan, Cloghan.

She is survived by her children Anne, Molly, Kate, Gerard, Michael, also her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew. Pre-deceased by her husband, Charlie and baby son Bernard.

Funeral Mass will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church, Maryhill, Glasgow on Friday, December 23 at 12 noon,  thereafter to Lambhill Cemetery at 1.15pm. 

Loretta Kenny, Lurganboy, Ardara

The death has taken place at Killybegs Community Hospital of Loretta Kenny (née Breslin, Con Hanna) Lurganboy, Ardara.

Deeply regretted by her sons Frank and Steven and daughter Loretta. Sadly missed by her sister Annie (Ardara), Philomena (US) and Francie (Manchester), daughters-in-law Bridie and Janet, grandchildren, great-grandchild, relatives, neighbours and friends.  
 
Her remains are reposing at her residence.
 
Funeral from there on Wednesday at 12.30pm to the Church Of The Holy Family, Ardara for 1pm Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Paddy Gallagher, Mullingar and Bundoran 

The death has occurred of Paddy Gallagher, Dalton Park, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and late of Bundoran, in the company of his devoted wife and family and the management and staff of Rose Lodge Nursing Home, Killucan.

Predeceased by his infant daughters Lorraine and Bernadette.

Loving husband of Ethna and dear father of Mary, Denise and Susan. Paddy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, daughters, his adored grandchildren Frankie, Rachel, Sophie, Patrick, Áine, Ewan and Dylan, great-grandson Paidi, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends in Mullingar and Donegal where Paddy was known as Paddy Jnr. 

Reposed at Gilsenan's Funeral Home with later removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King.

Paddy's Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11am and may be viewed live on www.mullingarparish.ie.

Burial will take place afterwards in Ballyglass cemetery. 

Nessa Egan, Lismintan, Ballintra

The death has occurred at Sligo University Hospital of Nessa Egan, Lismintan, Ballintra. 

Sadly missed and forever remembered by her parents, Brian and Theresa and by her brother, Brían Og. Much loved by her sons, Ultán Egan Doherty and Odhran Egan. 

Nessa's remains will repose at the family home in Lismintan, Ballintra, on Wednesday from 5pm until 10pm.

Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at St Brigid's Church, Ballintra, for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. House private on the morning of the funeral, please.

Kathleen McNulty (née McMorrow), Mountcharles and formerly Tawly, Co. Leitrim and Leicester, England

The death has occurred of Kathleen McNulty (née McMorrow), Mountcharles and formerly Tawly, Co. Leitrim and Leicester, England. She passed away peacefully at the Rock Community Nursing Unit, Ballyshannon.

Reposing at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Winifred McNulty and Larry Masterson, Munterneese, Mountcharles last evening until 9pm. House private at all other times.

Sadly missed by her daughter Winifred McNulty, her son-in-law Larry Masterson, grandson Patrick, his fiancée Sophie Love, great-granddaughter Hannah Kate, her sister Margaret Gallagher (Kinlough), sister-in-law Nora Foster (Tawly), nieces, nephews and all her relatives and friends.

Funeral arriving to St Aidan’s Church, Kinlough on Wednesday for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in Finner Cemetery, Bundoran.

The death has occurred in Glasgow of Annie Browne, Glasgow and formerly of Meendrain.

Remains arrived last evening to St.Patrick’s Church, Meenacross to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 21, at 10am with interment afterwards in Maghery cemetery.

Sheila Fletcher (née Gallagher), Lower Glassagh, Gaoth Dobhair

The death has occurred in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair of Sheila Fletcher, Lower Glassagh, Gaoth Dobhair.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Jim, her daughters, Annemarie, Christine and Mary, her son Paul, her sisters, Sr. Bridie, Sr. Kathleen, Ellen and Ann, sisters-in-law, Nellie and Kitty, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her sister Mary and her brothers Peadar, Charlie, John and Pádraig.

Her remains reposed at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg with later removal to St. Colmcille's Church, Cnoc Fola, to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass in Teach Pobail Cholmcille, Chnoc Fola, on Wednesday, December 21 at 11am, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Rev. Fr. James Anthony Boyle, Drumletterfin, Inver. He passed away suddenly at his residence.

Removal from Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles took place to his late residence.

Removal from there on Wednesday going to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses, for 1pm funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Denis McLaughlin, Cloghbane, Downings

The death has taken place at his home of Denis McLaughlin, Cloughbane, Downings, F92 CY80.

Predeceased by his father Edward and mother Annie, sister Bridget McGroddy, and brother Edward.

Deeply missed by his wife Mary, sons and daughters - Denis (Christine, Portumna, Galway), Maureen (Michael O'Connor, Kilmacrennan), Anne (Navan), Martina (Michael Power, Leopardstown, Dublin), Fr. Eamonn McLaughlin (Rome), Lorraine (Patrick Byrne, Glynn, Wexford), Desmond (partner Nicola, Cloughbane), Shane (partner Kellie, London), brother Jimmy (Carmel, Killimor, Galway), sister Mary (Jim) - grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Patrick Joseph Diver, Roxtown, Clonmany, F93 NC89.
